Mr. Aaron Leland Gerstenberger, age 77, of Temple, passed away, Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was born April 26, 1941 in Aurora, Iowa, the son of the late Mr. Kyle Albert Gerstenberger and the late Mrs. Mona Marie Morgan. Mr. Gerstenberger enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and golfing. He was an avid Florida Gators fan and a very accomplished athlete. He is survived by his wife, Jan Holloman Gerstenberger of Temple; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Mark Owen of Peachtree City; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tahni Gerstenberger of Douglasville; step daughter Tonya and Bill Carroll of Smyrna; step son, Daniel and Melissa White of Temple; sister and brother-in-law, Adele and Dean Bowden of Webster City, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Mary Gerstenberger of Seattle, Washington; six grandchildren, Zach, Jake, Gregory, Olivia, Kinley and Kelsey; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Douglasville, Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted from First Baptist Church of Douglasville at 2:00 PM with Minister Phillip Wynne officiating.
