Mrs. Adele Clay Swanson, 57, of Hiram, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Dallas, Georgia. She was born August 19, 1948 in Carroll County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. G. B. Clay and the late Mrs. Dovie White Clay. Mrs. Swanson was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a knitter in the mill and manufacturing industry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swanson was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Clay, C. B. Clay, Leon Clay and Douglas Clay; and her sisters, Shirley Bowman, Hazel Newman and Maybell Lindsey. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Melissa Clay of Hiram and April and Robert Bedsole of Dallas; her sister, Reba Gray of Villa Rica; her brother, Cecil Clay of Douglasville, 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Timmy Clay officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia.
