Agnes Powell

Mrs. Agnes Amy Adcock Powell, age 89, of Temple, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. She was born October 24, 1923 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Wiley Lindsay Adcock and the late Mrs. Alice Emily Durett Adcock. She worked for Sewell Manufacturing Company for over thirty years and retired as a supervisor. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Temple. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin “Bob” Powell; brother, Jack Adcock; sisters, Myra Adcock and Doris Adcock Jones.She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lindy and Roy Benefield of Temple, Myra Gail Jones of Temple, Jack and Jean Jones of Temple; great nieces and nephews, Nathan and Jeanna Benefield of Temple, Dovie Blackmon of Temple, Jennifer and Darrell Robinson of Temple, Linda and David Hudgins of Temple, and Wallace and Kathy Deese of Temple. Several great great nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home . Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
