Albert Preston Hiott

Mr. Albert Preston Hiott, age 96, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1914 in Charleston, South Carolina the son of the late Mr. Donald Hiott and the late Mrs. Octivia Spivey Hiott. He worked for CVX Railroad for many years in the office. He served in the United States Military as a Merchant Marine. He is survived by his loving wife Henrietta Meek Hiott of Villa Rica; daughter, Joyce Hatcher of Cumming; Step-daughters, Rebecca Cothran of Douglasville, Greta Lafferty of Delaware, step-sons, Ted Hardy and Douglas Hardy of Carrollton; sisters Nancy Oxley of North Carolina, and Grace Pangemann of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Wade Hatcher, and Cindy Maynard; several step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral home in Villa Rica with Dr. Donny Chandler and Rev. Leonard Chambers. Interment will follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Paulding County.
