Alecia Faye Reese

Alecia Faye Reese, 63, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was born on October 22, 1961 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Thelma Mae Beasley Yearta and Allen Taylor Yearta. Alecia led a life filled with compassion and joy.

Alecia was a woman of many talents – she absolutely loved cooking and decorating beautiful cakes for special occasions. She loved spending time with her family, especially her husband, who she helped to open his own painting business. Alecia took pride in her career and had a passion for her work. She was always advocating for her loved ones and her patients and was described as having a “heart of gold”, a true testament to her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 22 years, Tommy Ray Reese and her niece, Laura Yearta.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles “Charlie” (Shirley) Yearta; nephews, David and Matt Yearta; and nieces, Amber and Abby Yearta.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Alecia was cremated.
