Mr. Alex Arnold Bethune, age 70, of Anniston, AL, formerly of West Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was born September 26, 1953 in Birmingham, AL to the late Mr. Hubert Leonard Bethune and the late Mrs. Frieda Marie Hale Bethune. Alex was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. And when it came to baseball, he supported the Atlanta Braves. In quieter moments, Alex would watch classic Westerns and episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show." But above all else, Alex cherished family gatherings and valued the presence of his beloved wife Connie beside him. Alex Arnold Bethune will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a loyal friend, and a dedicated family man. His genuine kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Bethune.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Mrs. Connie Wilson Bethune; sisters, Bonnie (Kenny), Cindy (Jimmy); children, Donnie (Kristin), Nicholas, Jeremy (Fiancé, Tosha), Andrea, Casey, Brandon; 3 sisters in law, Sandy, Tammy (Mike), Sylvia (Doug); 9 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
