Alex "Brett" Powell

Mr. Alex “Brett” Powell, 23, of Pinta Way, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, July 28, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 14, 1983 in Fulton County, GA. He was the son of the Mr. Gene Powell and Mrs. Kay Elton. Mr. Powell worked as a mechanic. He was a member of the Lithia Springs Church of God. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Kay Elton of Douglasville; his father, Mr. Gene Powell of Douglasville; his brother, Todd Powell of Griffin; maternal grandparents, Polly and Doyal Ingram of Lithia Springs; paternal grandparent, Wautine Powell of Hazelhurst and his fiancée, Shana Johnson. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia with Pastor Greg Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley MemorialGardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tim Brooks, Stewart Brooks, David Teal, John Gossett, Cory Buhl and Micah Vickers.
