Alice Catherine Smith

Mrs. A. Catherine Smith, 87, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia. She was born May 21, 1919 in Clay County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Amos Sims and the late Mrs. Eunice Forbus Sims. Mrs. Smith was a retired seamstress at the Camp Cap Company and was a member of the Fullerville Baptist Church in Villa Rica. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. E.L. Smith. Survivors include her daughters and son in-laws, Shirley and Lawrence Shadix of Villa Rica, and Linda and Wayne Tant of Lineville, Alabama; grandchildren and spouses, Toby and Jessica Shadix, Tyler and Shannon Shadix, Michael and Tina Baxter, Ricky and Valerie Roberson, Tony and Kristie Roberson, Tammy and Paul Mazurkiewicz; and great-grandchildren, David and wife, Tiffinie Baxter, Allen Baxter, Amber Baxter, Christopher Baxter, Kayla Baxter, Catherine Mazurkiewicz, Amanda Mazurkiewicz, Spencer Roberson, Jessica Roberson, Taylor Roberson, Kevin Roberson, Dani Shadix, Alle Shadix, Dylan Shadix, John-Tyler Shadix, and Caitlin Shadix; sister in-law, Martha Sims; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Neal Williams and Rev. Horace Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Methodist Church Cemetery in Villa Rica. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
