Alice Marie Adams Dampier

Mrs. Alice Marie Adams Dampier, age 89, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born June 14, 1931 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Mr. John Clifton (JC) Adams and the late Mrs. Alice Nichols Sims Adams. Her lifelong career was in the medical field first as a phlebotomist and then as an Emergency Room Secretary at a number of hospitals throughout Georgia. She loved to sew and during her retirement years, she was a seamstress. Mrs. Dampier also enjoyed spending time gardening. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dampier was preceded in death by an infant daughter and grandson, Ian Thomason, She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jimmy C. Dampier of Villa Rica; her brother John C. Adams, her children Nancy Back, Diana Thomason and son-in-law Greg, John "Cliff" Back and daughter-in-law Donna, Alyce Bahtya-Earl and son-in-law Michael; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 niece, 2 nephews, and the love of her life, her rescue yellow lab named Buster. In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Dampier will be cremated and a family-planned memorial will take place on Saturday, May 1st. Flowers may be sent to 4863 Pool Rd, Winston, GA 30187.
