Alice Ruth Weathington Garner

Mrs. Alice Ruth Weathington Garner, 93 of Garner Lane, Temple, GA passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. She was born January 27, 1918 in Haralson County, Georgia the daughter of the late William McKinney Weathington and the late Hattie Browning Weathington. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Temple. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Garner, brother, Neal Weathington, 2 sisters, Verdie Winters and Myrtle Hitchcock. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Garner of Temple and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Mt Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Arp and Dr. Corkey Addison officiating. Interment will follow in the Draketown Cemetery, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jerry Winters, Larry Weathington, Scott Mooneyham, David Johnson, Jack Dewberry and Wayman Gordon.
