Alicia Lynn Barrett, age 41, of Winston, GA unexpectedly passed away on Friday, December 8,2023 from complications of a bacterial infection. She was born October 16, 1982, in Fredericksburg, VA to Mr. Thomas Barrett and Mrs. Barbara Barrett. Alicia graduated from Lithia Springs High School in 2001.
Alicia is survived by her two children, Casey McCoy (18) and Corey McCoy (16), her parents, Thomas and Barbara Barrett, her sister Shana Jarrett, her nephew Aidan Jarrett, brother Jared Barrett and his wife Natalie Barrett and their children – Anthony, Angel, Bella, Leila, and Holden, as well as her partner Ike Greene. She is also survived by her grandparents, Zusann Yenner, Joseph and Patti Kroll, and Helen Ann and Sam Mattoni. As well as Aunts and Uncles – Sherri and Mike Yenner, John and Lori Harris, Cliff and Amy Harris, Rob and Christine Harris and their children and many loyal friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her grandparents Darvel and Ruby Barrett, and Ralph Yenner. As well as uncles – Lawrence Barrett, Russel Paul Barrett, Billy Ray Barrett and Joey Kroll.
Alicia was a loving mother, caring friend and beautiful person inside and out. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her two children Casey and Corey. During time off, she enjoyed camping, boating, relaxing in her pool and visiting the beach. Alicia’s fur baby Nova provided constant companionship and unconditional love.
Alicia cared deeply for her family and friends. She was the first to get on the dance floor, sing karaoke, and make sure everyone was having a good time. She was extremely proud of the fact that she purchased her own home and took pleasure in hosting parties for friends. She was a seeker of fun, loved unconditionally, and enjoyed caring for those in her life. The impact she had on others will be everlasting.
She will be remembered for her infectious smile and enormous heart.
Services will be held on December 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home located at 2189 Midway Rd Douglasville, GA 30135. The family will welcome visitors before the service at 12 pm.
