Mrs. Alma, age 94, of Temple, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born August 24, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. James C. "Crockett" Pace and the late Mrs. Effie Driskell Pace. Mrs. Alma loved to cook, garden and sew. She was a dedicated member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church. She was a very caring person who put others before herself and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alma is preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Elmer Bishop and husband, Delmer Eugene Thompson; her brothers, Johnny Pace and Hoyt Pace; and her sister, Gladys Hunt.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Bishop, Sr. and his wife, Karen Bagwell of Rockmart; her brother and sister-in-law, Melvin "Buck" and Kathy Pace of Temple; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Bishop of Kennesaw; her grandchildren, Ricky Bishop, Jr. and his wife, Melinda Bishop of Dallas, Ryan and Matt Ereddia of Kennesaw, Kimberly and Adam Clark of Canton, Dillon Bishop of Doraville, Crystal Stephens of Concord, Patricia Kell of Temple, Bobby Ray Kell, Jr. of Rockmart, and Matthew Kell of Rockmart; great-grandchildren, Morgan Brown, Jacob Bishop, Camden Ereddia, Carson Ereddia, Parker Bishop, Kylan Stephens and Ashlyn Stephens; and numerous nieces and nephews..
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica. Interment will follow in Draketown Cemetery.
