Alta Gilpin

Mrs. Alta Florence Gilpin, age 91, of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013. She was born January 14, 1922 in Knox City, Texas the daughter of the late Mr. William B. Hamm and the late Mrs. Kate Darr Hamm. She worked for Mayfair for many years in Southern California.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marlin Gilpin.She is survived by her son, Tommy Gilpin, Sr. of Villa Rica; sister, Juarene Jones; grandchild, Tommy Gilpin, Jr.; sister-in-law, Betty Gilpin. According to Mrs. Gilpin’s wishes she was cremated. Inurnment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in California. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
