Mr. Alvin Walter Harrison, Sr., 62, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Polk Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born May 9, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Flemming Harrison and the late Mrs. Edna White Harrison. He worked in construction. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by his sisters, Margie Loudermilk and Mozel Zepp; grandchildren, Dustin Harrison and Kimberly A. Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elaine Kell Harrison; one daughter, Vickey Diane Mantooth of Temple; three sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Deborah Harrison, Jr. of Temple, David and Donna Harrison of Temple, and Paul and Paula Harrison of Temple; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Joel Wilson of Bremen; one stepson, Kenny Bradford of Cedartown; four sisters, Marcell Queen of Smyrna, Juanita Spratling of Mableton, Diane Russell of Temple, and Ellen Brasher of Rockmart; three brothers, Felton Harrison of Felton, Sidney Harrison of Calhoun, Joe Harrison of Fruithurst, AL; his first wife and the mother of his children, Donna Black Harrison of Temple; 9 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. David McBurnett officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
