Amanda Joyce Nichols-Zito, age 24, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009. She was born November 1, 1984 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary and Tammy Smith of Douglasville. Amanda was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed hip-hop music, playing pool and was a member of a motorcycle club. She was fun loving and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Ross Zito; son, Hayden Parker LaRue Nichols of Douglasville; mother and stepfather, Tammy Jean and Gary Smith of Douglasville; father, William Gregory Nichols of Blue Ridge; sister, Tonia Scofield of Atlanta; brothers, James Robert Nichols, William Andrew Nichols, and Dakota Smith all of Douglasville; maternal grandfather, Clarence Johnson of Covington; paternal grandmothers, Loretta Nichols of Ellijay and Connie Frady of Cumming; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Mr. Michael Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Amanda Nichols-Zito Memorial Fund at any Bank of America. Messages of condolences to the family may be sent from www.jones-wynn.com.
