Mr. Amos Franklin Richardson, Jr., age 86, of Austell passed away Monday, November 1, 2010. He was born January 22, 1924 the son of the late Mr. Amos F. Richardson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ima Bell Burns Richardson. He worked as a mail carrier in Germany. He went missing in action during WWII while fighting under Patton’s Command. He attended Mt. Harmony Church with his wife. He loved building airplanes, fishing, piddling in his shed, gardening, camping at Lake Altoona, loved the mountains and being outdoors. Most of all he loved is dogs, Jazzy and Little Bears, who was his companion for many years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Inez Bohannon Richardson; brothers, Gary Burns, Henry Richardson, Warren Burns, Carlos Richardson; sisters, Ruth Dewberry, Wynell Richardson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Howard Ling of Temple; brothers and sisters-in-law, L. A. and Janice Burns of Villa Rica, James and Loraine Richardson of Ranburne, AL, and Denney and Jean Burns of Whitesburg. Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
