Mr. Andrew Gordon Hagen, 72, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. He was born March 8, 1942 in Valdosta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. John Gordon Hagen and the late Mrs. Vera Duke Hagen. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Vietnam War. He worked as an electronic technician in several different fields, including the FAA, Northrup, and Racal Milgo. He was a devoted man of God, a man of great faith. He was kind, generous and very loving, expressing his love to those around him. He had a great love for history and was a Civil War buff. He was a devoted family man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin C. Hagen. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Saunders Hagen of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Troy Thomas of Villa Rica; son, David C. Hagen of Beverly Hills, CA; brother and sister-in-law, John and Patsy Hagen of Ballground; two grandchildren, Kiri Lei Thomas and Christopher M. Thomas; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. According to the family’s wishes, the body was cremated.
