Mrs. Anita Richardson Stone, a daughter of the King, age 53, of Winston, Georgia passed away suddenly Friday, December 30, 2016. She was born December 17, 1963 in Carrollton, Georgia the daughter of Mrs. Myrtie Broome Richardson and the late Mr. James Farris Richardson. She had a great love for children. She was a devoted teacher for many years for the Douglas County School System. She taught at Lithia Springs Elementary, Winston Elementary and retired from Dorsett Shoals Elementary School. She was a devoted and active member of Ephesus Baptist Church for over 40 years. She loved her church family dearly and she loved singing in the Choir and serving in the Preschool and Childrenâs Ministry. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Farris Richardson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Beverly Stone. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard Wendell Stone of Winston; daughter, Krista Stone of Wake Forest, NC; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Drew and Elise Stone of Douglasville and Alex Stone of Winston; her mother, Myrtie Broome Richardson of Winston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Greg Davis of Villa Rica and Hope and Steve Redwine of Marietta; brother, Glenn Richardson of Hiram; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Penny and Tim Perkins of Villa Rica, Gloria and Mike Mahaffey of Villa Rica, Diane Stone of Winston, and John Stone of Douglasville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, January 1, 2017 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. A Musical Praise service will be Monday, January 2, 2017 at 1:30 PM with the Celebration of Life following at 2:00 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. Musical selections will be provided by the Ephesus Baptist Church Choir and Praise Team. Interment will follow at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary escort will be The Cord and their families and her coworkers from Dorsett Shoals Elementary School.
