Anne Drake

Mrs. Anne Hull Drake, 91, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. She was born February 10, 1923 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Mr. Carlos Ross Hull and the late Mrs. Madge Smith Hull. She was a homemaker and devoted to her family. During World War II, she joined the American workforce as a “Rosie the Riveter” working on B17s and B24s. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Drake. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas “Stu” and Marianne Drake and Steven Arthur and Barbara Drake all of Douglasville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Drake, Bill Drake, Daniel Drake, Melissa Drake, Justin Drake, and Natalie Drake. A private burial will be conducted at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida. Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Douglasville.
