Mrs. Annie Lois McDearis Abercrombie, age 87 of Wedowee, Alabama gained her heavenly wings Wednesday, April 22, 2020. She was born November 9, 1932 in Douglas County the daughter of the late Mr. Dewey Clem McDearis and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Dukes McDearis. Mrs. Abercrombie was our Matriarch, our glue and whether we called her Mother, granny, Maw maw or grandma she was loved by each and everyone of us. She saw the good in everything no matter the situation, she loved us no matter what we did and she loved us hard. She loved flowers, gardening, crafts, Christmas decorating, and playing video games. Her favorite video game was Zelda. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Doug Abercrombie. Mrs. Abercrombie is survived by her husband for almost 70 years, Mr. Roy "Donald" Abercrombie of Wedowee, Alabama; daughters and sons-in-laws, Teresa Brown of Carrollton, Georgia, Donna and Tony Lambert of Muscadine, Alabama, Janet Miller and Danny Baker of Wedowee, Alabama, Kathy and Joe Norsworthy of Jackson, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lisa Abercrombie of Douglasville, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Based on CDC Covid-19 guidelines. Private Graveside services will be conducted at Douglasville City Cemetery with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating.
