Mrs. Annie Ruth Thompson, 82, of Douglas County, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008. She was born June 10, 1925 in Winston, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Rellie Lee and the late Mrs. Annie Glass Lee. She was a devoted member of County Line Baptist Church for over 60 years where she was actively involved with many church activities. She was a devoted Proverbs 31woman, devoting herself to her faith in God and her beloved family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. âCharlieâ Thompson and grandson, Randall Thompson, Jr. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Hancock of Villa Rica, Becky and Eddie Colwell of Carrollton, Rhonda and Dr. Sam Braswell of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Denise Thompson of Smyrna, Bill and Terri Thompson of Littleton, CO, and Rick Thompson of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Frances Miller of Lilburn, Elsie Davison of Douglasville, and Betty Loudermilk of Alpharetta; brother, Loyd Lee of Hiawassee; brothers-in-law, Max Thompson of Cedartown, Virgil Thompson of Lithia Springs and Grady Bundrum of Douglasville; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Sam Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, May 2, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
