April Blankenship Simmons

Mrs. April Blankenship Simmons, age 44, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, November 21, 2008. She was born March 29, 1964 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Alton Blankenship and the late Mrs. Virginia Clifford Jamerson. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Foster and Brenda Williams and brothers, Jeff Scarbourough and Billy Blankenship. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jacob Sherman of Temple; son, William Albert “Bo” Simmons, IV of Villa Rica; Sisters, Virginia Lucas of Lawrenceville and Vickie Sams of Riverdale; brother, Johnny “Bubba” Lucas of Strockbridge; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Mike Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 10:30 AM until the funeral hour.
