Archie Gene Oliver

Mr. Archie Gene Oliver, age 74, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born May 29, 1935 in Haleyville, Alabama the son of the late Mr. Ike Oliver and the late Mrs. Minnie Anderson Oliver. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Douglasville. He owned Archie’s Auto Glass in Lithia Springs. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and deep sea fishing. He is survived by his wife, Flora M. Lester Oliver of Lithia Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Lynn and Dennis Hollis of Lithia Springs and Melody K. and Mark Boyd of Alabaster, Alabama; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Steve and Patricia Oliver of Haleyville, Alabama and Randy and Melodie Oliver of Winfield, Alabama; sister, Dorothy Cron of Haleyville, Alabama; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Margaret Oliver of Haleyville, Alabama; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Donny Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
