Mr. Arthur Everett Caldwell, age 71, of McKown Road, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 6, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Albert Rudolph Caldwell and the late Mrs. Lillie Naomie Yancey Caldwell. He married Lillie Johns on July 21, 1956 in Jonesboro, Georgia. He was a member of the Lithia Springs Church of God and was a retired grocer. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Many years ago he served as a scoutmaster. He was an incredible husband, father and grandfather and loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Lillie Johns Caldwell of Douglasville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Kathie Caldwell of Oglethorpe and Randall and Jerrie Caldwell of LaGrange; one brother, Kenneth Caldwell of Powder Springs; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews knew him as âPaPaâ and considered him a grandfather. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Lindsey Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
