Atha Ruth Harris

Atha Ruth Smith Harris, 96, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away on April 25, 2022. She was born on January 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Cleo W. Smith and the late Ruth Comer Smith. 
Atha was a loving mother and grandmother, and she loved to spend time with her granddaughter, Kaley. She enjoyed her church, volunteering at Sweetwater Mission (formerly known as C.A.M.P.), gardening and growing flowers, and traveling when she was younger.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Harris and brothers Ray L. Smith, Bunyan Smith, and Comer Smith. 
Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter, Connie Harris of Villa Rica, Georgia; her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Pam Harris of Powder Springs, Georgia; sisters Estoria Hill of Macon, Georgia and Janie Pritchard of Marietta, Georgia; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kaley and Justin Poole of Atlanta, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home- Douglas Chapel, 2189 Midway Road, Douglasville, Georgia 30135. A graveside committal will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd. NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30318 with Rev. Thomas Chapman officiating.
