Barbara Jean Roe

Mrs. Barbara Jean Roe, age 75, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at her home. She was born October 24, 1933 the daughter of the late Mr. Roger Quincy Mills and the late Mrs. Jesse Mae Wilkerson Mills. She worked as a bank teller for 25 years. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles in her spare time. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed time spent with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Mills and Grady Mills. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Keith Burton of Douglasville; her son, David Roe of Decatur; sister, Elsie Bivens of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Margie Mills of Miami, FL; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Celebrant Glenn Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Conyers, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, May 29, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
