Barbara Lois O'Dwyer, 80, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on October 3, 2026. She was born on May, 19, 1946.

Barbara will be remembered for the joy she found in life’s experiences and the interests that meant so much to her. She loved to travel and made many memorable journeys, including trips to Ireland, Alaska, Atlanta, and Key West. She also enjoyed time at a timeshare she owned in Lake Tahoe. Creative and thoughtful, Barbara was a dedicated scrapbooker, and photography was especially close to her heart.

Music and shared faith were also part of Barbara’s life. She and her husband sang together in the choir at Bright Star UMC, a memory that remains a meaningful part of how she will be remembered.

Above all, Barbara was immensely proud of her daughter, Margretann. She cherished every moment they shared together. Her love, admiration, and pride for her daughter knew no bounds.

Mrs. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Gladys Warwick. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband, Thomas O’Dwyer of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Margretann Sargent of New Jersey; and her grandson, Jacob Sargent of New Jersey.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9th at 2:00 PM- 3:30PM with funeral services following at 3:30PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral home in Douglasville, Georgia, Douglas Chapel. 

Barbara Lois O'Dwyer will be remembered for her love of travel, her creative spirit, and the care she brought to the people and pursuits she cherished. Her memory will be held with love.
