Barbara Roberson

Mrs. Barbara Ellen Roberson, age 71, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Mrs. Roberson was born May 13, 1938 in Moultrie, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Alexander Kenneth Harrod and the late Mrs. Verna Dykes Harrod. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. Mrs. Roberson previously taught at the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and was a caring and compassionate registered nurse for many years. Survivors include her husband of over 41 years, Mr. J. C. Roberson of Villa Rica; her daughter, Suzanne Woolsey of Winston; her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Kim Roberson of Villa Rica and Terry and Diane Roberson of Williamstown, New Jersey; her sister and brother-in-law, DeLaine and Bob Lloyd of Villa Rica; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Marian Harrod of Marietta; 7 grandchildren, Joe Roberson, Tanya Roberson, Rebecca Roberson, Colton Woolsey, Carlie Roberson, Samantha Roberson and Jesse Roberson; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Eulogy will be provided by her uncle, Emery Carlton. Serving as pallbearers will be Colton Woolsey, Alex Harrod, Chase Smith, Mundo Lara, Tim Alley and Daniel Hodson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Roberson. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM.
