Mr. Barry Lewis, age 55, passed away on June 16, 2009 at the Atlanta Medical Center. He was born October 27, 1953 in Carroll County, Georgia to Bobby Lee Lewis and the late Martha Jean Rabun Lewis. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Temple. He worked as a school bus driver for the Carroll school system for over 16 years, and was the owner of Temple Automotive for over 31 years. He was devoted to the youth of the community and served as a coach for many years. He was a devoted husband and loving father. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother John Lewis, and brother-in-law Dwight Ellis; sisters-in-law Judy Lewis, and Mary Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Carole Ellis Lewis; daughters and sons-in-law Michelle & Josh Chambers of Temple, Melisa & Dean Sims of Marietta, father Bobby Lee Lewis of Temple, sisters and brothers-in-law Connie & Dits Kruayai of Douglasville, and Rhonda Thompson of Temple; brothers Keith Lewis, Dale Lewis and Shane Lewis all of Temple, Georgia; nieces and nephews Christopher Kruayai of Jacksonville, Florida, Lex Kruayai of Douglasville, Gidget Lewis of Temple, Sean Lewis of Alabama, and Tyler Lewis of Alabama, Kenneth Lewis of Temple, Kevin Lewis of Temple, Charles Thompson of Temple, and Josh & Misty Thompson of Hiram, Wesley Ellis of Villa Rica, Butch Ellis of Powder Springs; aunts Judy Spratlin, Janice Akin and Joy Morris. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with ministers Scott Akin, Jay Akin and Bill Gray officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Church Cemetery Little Vine. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica.
