Benjamin Pelegri

Mr. Benjamin “Ben” Pelegri, 86, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. He was born December 24, 1929 in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Mr. Rafael Pelegri and the late Mrs. Antonia Navarro Pelegri. He married Maria Luisa Marques on May 3, 1973 in Lisbon, Portugal. He was devoted to God and was a faithful member of West Metro Church of God for over 20 years. He worked in the filming department for NASA and later had a career in the Motion Picture Industry working for CineFilm in Atlanta where he retired. He was a family man that loved his wife, daughter, and granddaughters, whom were the light of his life. He loved carpentry and working with his hands. He was a passionate photographer and he enjoyed traveling all over the world. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Raquael and brother Rafael “Ray” Pelegri. He is survived by his wife, Luisa Pelegri of Lithia Springs; one daughter, Michelle Marques Jones of Hiram; two granddaughters, Lauren Ashley Jones and Sophia Elise Jones; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Garry Tanner officiating.
