Mr. Benjamin Fredrick Savage, 74, of Whitesburg, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born December 31, 1942 in Pioneer, Louisiana, the son of the late Mr. George Washington Savage and the late Mrs. Willie Hazel Copes Savage. He was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming of all sorts. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Burnette Savage. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Dell Ponsell Savage of Whitesburg, Georgia,, three daughters and two sons-in-law: Cheree and Sparky McDuffie of Monroe, Louisiana, Toyyah and Matt Heller of Whitesburg, Georgia, Tiffini LeAnne Savage of Jacksonville, Florida, four grandchildren: Preston Mallett, Brittney Mallett, Cody Heller, Kaegan Heller, two great-grandchildren: Vance Mallett, Gauge Mott, two sisters: Bettye Lee Johnson of Haughton, Louisiana, Regina Williamson of Bossier City, Louisiana, brother, Jody Savage of Crowville, Louisiana.In accordance to his wishes, Mr. Savage was cremated. The family will receive friends at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi, Louisiana Friday, June 23, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi, Louisiana.
