Benjamin Thomas Watkins

Mr. Benjamin Thomas Watkins, age 65, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Watkins was born June 15, 1943 in Brookhaven, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Edgar Elmo Watkins and the late Mrs. Jessie Mae Lane Watkins. He worked as a machine operator. Mr. Watkins was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting and loved his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his sister, Dovie Mae Queen. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mrs. Donnie Berryhill Watkins of Villa Rica; daughters and son-in-law, Sandy and Bobby Strickland of Villa Rica, Elaine Watkins of Villa Rica, Judy Watkins of Stevens County, Pamela Watkins of Newnan and Jennifer Watkins of Dallas; his son, Scott Watkins of Cleveland; his sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Queen of Florida; Carolyn and James Huff of Loganville and Mary Lucille Brown of Breman; brothers and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ruby Watkins of Winder, Billy Watkins of Villa Rica and Richard Watkins of Monroe; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Barry Golden officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted Monday, September 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Sandy Springs Cemetery, Sandy Springs, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour.
