Bernice Wynn

Mrs. Bernice Wynn, age 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 following an extended illness. She was born July 1, 1928 in Gainesville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Homer Raines and the late Mrs. Millie Samples Raines. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Lithia Springs. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse. After retirement, she worked for the Douglas County Board of Education. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Hanson and Virby McKenzie; and brothers, Adron Raines and Raid Raines. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Thomas E. Wynn of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Harry Young of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Glenda Harrison of Douglasville; step daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Dudley Wallace of Atlanta; step sons, Cary Wynn of Florence, AL and Steve Wynn of Douglasville; 4 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Chaplain Harold Peacock officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
