Mrs. Bertha Rose Burnett Dockery, 87 of Villa Rica, GA passed away, Tuesday, May 8, 2012at her residence following an extended illness. She was born, Sept, 4, 1924 in Lithonia, GA the daughter of the Late Devy Beulah Burnett and the late Mrs. Velma Castleberry Burnett. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Lake Paradise Road Full Gospel Church in Villa Rica. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Dockery and 2 sons, Frank H. Dockery and James D. Dockery, one grandson and one great grandson. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Melvin Dunn of Temple, Judy and John Harvey, Yvonne and Mike Harvey all of Fairburn, Sherron and David Sizemore of Phenix City, AL, sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Evelyn Dockery of Temple, Jerry Dockery of Villa Rica, Jesse and Linda Dockery of Temple, Tim Dockery of Temple, Leonard and Mindy Dockery of Temple and Ivory and Brenda Dockery of Temple. Brothers, H.B. and Virginia Burnett of Dahlonega and Buddy and Barbara Burnett of Cumming, sister, Edith Chesters of Cleveland, 29 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. John George officiating.
