Mrs. Bessie Eugene Reese Morris, 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Morris was born June 19, 1924 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. George Carl Reese and the late Mrs. Wyley Cornelia Goolsby Reese. She married Thomas Luther Morris on August 10, 1938 at New Georgia Baptist Church in Paulding County. She retired as a seamstress with Arrow Shirt Company in Bremen and was a member of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Luther Morris and one brother, Vester Reese. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Temple of Douglasville, Nancy and Robert Parson of Whitesburg, Joyce Robinson of Whitesburg, Patricia and Ken Barber of Dallas, Tina and Ronnie West of Temple; two sons, Tim and Texann Morris of Douglasville, Michael and Stephanie Morris of Winston; two granddaughters that she raised from birth, Michelle Leese and Nisha Montjoy; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Louise Reese of Franklin; 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 2:00 PM from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel with the Pastor Larry Scott and Pastor David Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Christian Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: John Parson, Jerry Temple, Joshua Parson, Brad Lee, Michael Wilson and Jason Reagan. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Friday, December 16, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
