Bessie Jones

Mrs. Bessie Mae Woodberry Jones, age 87, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital. She was born October 20, 1928 in Fairmont, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Mr. Mayo Woodberry and the late Mrs. Arie Stephens Woodberry. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Jones, Jr; and a brother, Wayland Woodberry. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Annie Sarah and Curtis Bester of Powder Springs; a son, William Jones of Powder Springs; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Henry Blackwell of Elcajon, CA; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory of Douglasville, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory in Douglasville.
