Bessie Lee Shead

Bessie Lee Shead, 94, of East Point, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Regency Hospital. Mrs. Shead was born August 4, 1913 in Paulding County, Georgia; the daughter of the late Parker Brown and the late Lula Dobbs Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Shead; and children, Bobby Shead and Barbara Defoor. Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Johnston of Villa Rica; and Carolyn Marie Sechrest of Green Cove Springs, FL; son, James Kenneth Shead of Marietta; sisters, Mauldie Turner of Douglasville, and Dolly Sewell of Carrollton; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM from New Georgia Cemetery with Carl Price officiating. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
