Betty Boyett

Mrs. Betty Lou Boyett, age 87 of Winston, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019. She was born April 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Mr. James Homer Mitchell and the late Mrs. Margie Carnes Mitchell. Mrs. Boyett retired from Wal-Mart in Douglasville as a Baker of 22 years. She loved shopping, knitting, cooking and made quilts for babies.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, David Earl Boyett; brothers, Guy Mitchell, Bill Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Robert Mitchell; sister, Mary Ellen Payne.She is survived by daughter, Terri Jones and Joel McKerley of Gay, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-law, Tony and Michelle Boyett of Roopville, Georgia, Mark Boyett of Winston, Georgia; sister-in-law, Nell Mitchell of Winston, Georgia; five grandchildren, Brian and Tina George of Tallapoosa, Georgia, Shannon and Shane Garrett of Buchanan, Georgia, Tyler and Alex Boyett of Douglasville, Georgia, Jamie and Brandon Ellis of Villa Rica, Georgia, Delaney Boyett of Winston, Georgia; eight great grandchildren, Brianna Teasdale, Sierra Pugh, Jacob Glaze, Dakota Houston, Madison George, Zoey Bailey, Joanna Boyett, Blake Ellis; four great –great grandchildren, Aria and Ledger Teasdale, Cohen Kimbrell, Xander Glaze; number of nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Wally Sheats officiating.
