Mrs. Betty Jo Lawler Bryant, age 85, of Douglasville, passed away, Wednesday, June 12, 2019. She was born August 27, 1933 in Douglas County the daughter of the late Mr. K. Buford Lawler and the late Mrs. Grace Layton Lawler. She worked for A & P Grocery Warehouse for many years. She was an avid Braves fan. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, going to yard sales, but most of all her family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Alvin Bryant; infant daughter; granddaughter, Kimberly Fain; sisters, Dorothy Lawler and Alline Taormina; brother, Richard Lawler.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Alvin and Mary Bryant of Powder Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Joyce Tucker of Douglasville, Peggy Jo and Kenny Ayers of Bowdon, Rita Marie and James E. McLendon of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tommy Smith of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Noble and Jannie Lawler of Winston, Larry and Dianne Lawler of Gainesville; 8 grandchildren, Jamie and Sonja Bryant of Hiram, Christy Tucker of Douglasville, Jennifer and Ben Blair of Douglasville, Heather Tucker of Douglasville, Allen Ayers of Bowdon, Tanya and Gary Evans of Uvalda, SFC Joshua and Chelsea McLendon of Honolulu, HI, James M. and Kelley McLendon of Hiram, Joel and Kelly McLendon of Lilburn, Jeremy and Abigail McLendon of Kingston ; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, June 14, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
