Betty DeFoor

Mrs. Betty Kirby DeFoor, age 81, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born March 8, 1932 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. David Terry Kirby and the late Mrs. Mattie Gaston Kirby. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Porter DeFoor; two brothers; D.H. Kirby and Otis Kirby; sister, Verdene Smith. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Bryce of Villa Rica; two grandchildren, Callie Elizabeth “Beth” DeFoor of Villa Rica and Anna Caroline DeFoor of Villa Rica; three step-grandchildren, Heather Bryce and Jamie Previtt of Temple, Josie Bryce of Villa Rica, and Brittany Bryce of Villa Rica. One step-great-grandchild, Trevor Previtt of Temple; special niece, Bobbie Kirby Thompson and special great-niece, Dena Lewis Clark. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Sunday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will be conducted Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Davis officiating.
