Betty Ford Meherg

Mrs. Betty Sue Ford Meherg, age 75, of Carrollton, passed away, Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was born August 11, 1940 in Talladega, AL the daughter of the late Mr. William “Bill” Ford and the late Mrs. Lucielle Seals Ford. She loved sewing, gospel music, cooking, a clean home and most of all her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Davis Neal Meherg of Carrollton; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Hayes of Woodstock, Donna and James Clouse of Missouri, Lydia and Terry Norris of Sandhill, Patricia and Steven Fields of Temple; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny “Homer” and Frances Meherg of Bowdon, Gary “Marty” Meherg of Carrollton, Harold and Debbie Meherg of Temple, James and Sharon Meherg of Carrollton; sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy Donahue of Woodstock, Lorene and Eddie Benson of Villa Rica; brother, Larry Ford of Villa Rica; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Finley officiating.
