Betty Jean Heath Brown

Mrs. Betty Jean Heath Brown, 62, of Hiram passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. She was born August 19, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL the daughter of the late William Thomas Heath, Jr. and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Agnes Crosby Heath. She worked as an insurance underwriter for Utica Insurance Company. She enjoyed softball, football, bowling and photography. She attended 2nd Baptist Church in Riverdale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Major Ray Brown. Mrs. Brown is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marabel and Robert Dooley of Hiram; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Margaret Heath of Douglasville; nephews, Jason Dooley and fiance’ Nicole Varuolo, Jimmy and Dawn Heath and special friends Kinny and Rose Darnell of Lithonia; aunt, Hazel Crosby of Matoon, IL. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Rountree officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel.
