Betty Louise Mobley

Betty Louise Mobley, passed away on August 29, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and devotion that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Born on April 18, 1939, in Villa Rica, Georgia, Betty was the daughter of Henry Lancaster and Edna Belle Cook East.

Betty lived a life dedicated to her family and embraced her role as a homemaker with unwavering love and commitment. She brought joy and comfort to her husband, Clifford L. Mobley, throughout their years together. 

Betty had an undeniable knack for making those around her feel welcome and loved. Whether she was sewing intricate creations or casting a fishing line out into the calm waters, Betty's hobbies were fueled by her passion for creativity and connection.  Additionally, Betty possessed a charismatic spirit that shone brightly whenever she stepped up to the microphone during karaoke nights.

Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford L. Mobley; father, Henry Lancaster; mother, Edna Belle Cook East; son, Terry Smith; sisters, Mary Tilley and Edna Walker; brothers, Thomas George Jefferson and Lincoln Lancaster. 

She is survived by her daughter and daughter-in-law, Michelle Cagle and Terri Edwards of Pensacola, Florida; daughter, Tanya Moore of Graham, Alabama; sisters, Sara Magaha of Flowery Branch, Jeannette Rogers of Woodland, Alabama; brothers, Tommy East of Douglasville, Georgia, Ricky East of Bremen, Georgia; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with Reverend Jon Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. Wesley Bassett, James Bassett, Dusty Wilson, Terri Edwards, Ashleigh Mobley, and Andrew Owensby will be serving as pallbearers.
