Betty Morris

Mrs. Betty Ruth Morris, age 90, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born June 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Mr. Bruce Bennett and the late Mrs. Elsie Craton Bennett. She loved to do word puzzles and to cook. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church for 75 years. Church was a very important part of her life! In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Clem Morris Jr., daughter Judy Little, and her brother Frankie Bennett. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law’s; Phillip and Michele Morris of Canton, Tim and Carol Morris of Douglasville, Michael and Julie Morris of Westminster, Colorado; sister-in-law, Earlene Bennett of Douglasville; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Second Baptist Church with Minister Greg Richardson, Rev. Fred Blalock, and Rev. Bobby Woods officiating. She will lie-in-state from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Message of condolences may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
