Betty Phillips

Mrs. Betty Ione Truitt Phillips, age 76, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013. She was born September 16, 1936 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Marvin James Truitt and the late Mrs. Frances Orene Adams Truitt. She worked for Sewells Manufacturing Company for many years.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Phillips; son, James O’Neal Phillips; daughter, Betty Ione PhillipsShe is survived by her daughter, Patricia Adair of Temple, Martha Ward of Buchanan, Cynthia Barron of Dallas; son, David Lee Phillips of Carrollton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Robert Hanson of Carrollton, Helen and Marvin Dobbs of Villa Rica, Sandra and Rev. Homer Wilburn of Carrollton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Nancy Truitt of Carrollton, John and Johnnie Truitt of Carrollton; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survivie. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Scott Cranford, Rev. Billy Thompson officiating.
