Betty Shirley Jett Fannin

Mrs. Betty Shirley Jett Fannin, age 85, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020. She was born November 13, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgja, the daughter of the late Patrick C. Jett and the late Mary Ethel Jarrard Jett. She worked for 17 years as a payroll analyst with The Coca-Cola Company. Mrs. Fannin loved to travel, especially to the beach and her favorite beach was Mexico Beach in Florida. She enjoyed working word find puzzles, Facebook and researching the internet. Mrs. Fannin was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs and loved her church and church family. She was a strong woman who loved her family and was a loving grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fannin was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ray Fannin and her brothers, C.D. Jett and Charles Jett. Mrs. Fannin is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and David Echols of Villa Rica and Sheila White of Douglasville; her sisters, Ouida Wilbanks of Mableton and Annette Aiken of Murrayville; her sister-in-law, Gloria Ewing of Villa Rica; five grandchildren, Dana (Richard) Raines of Villa Rica, Deanna Echols of Villa Rica, Brandon (Raquel) White of St. Petersburg, Florida, Kevin (Natalie) White of Seminole, Florida and Brittney White of Douglasville; four great-grandchildren, David Raines, Ella Raines, Blake Gould and Luca White; many nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 4:00PM until 7:00OPM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn, Douglasville with Rev. Kevin McKoy officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon White, Kevin White, Richard Raines, Mark Bell, Hovis Williams and Allen Wilbanks. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park, Carrollton.
