Betty Smith

Mrs. Betty Ruth Smith, age 87, of Villa Rica, passed away, Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born December 20, 1929 in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Mr. Ulysses W. Jordan and the late Mrs. Louise Brannon Jordan. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her family.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Raymond Smith; son, Stanley Gene Smith; brothers, Charles Jordan, Jerry Jordan, and Robert Jordan; sisters, Alice Hendrix and Wilma Henderson.She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Don Scoggins of Villa Rica, Dianne and Pete Talmadge of Marietta; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Marchie Smith of Villa Rica; sisters and brother-in-law, Sarah Haywood of Hiawassee, Ruby and James Cook of Temple Terrace, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brannon and Sybil Jordan of Brunswick, Richard and Joyce Jordan of Ballground, and Larry Jordan of Douglasville; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Dedman officiating.
