Mrs. Betty Ann Lawless Wingfield, 79, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014. She was born January 4, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. William Henry Lawless and the late Mrs. Hattie Emma Jones Lawless. She cherished her family and her roles as a homemaker and mother. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for the people she loved. Her favorite hobbies included crafts, crocheting and playing card games. She worked as a Sales Associate at Wal-Mart until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Wingfield; children, Michael Wingfield, Bruce Wingfield, and Kenneth Wingfield; sister, Leatha Henderson and brothers, Robert Lawless, Walter Lawless, and C.H. Lawless. She is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Steve Fountain of Temple, Margie and Rev. David Post of Hiram, and Lisa Wingfield of Kennesaw; one son and a daughter-in-law, Jeff and Wanda Wingfield of Douglasville; two sisters, Jeannie Buice of Kennesaw and Margie Lemons of Smyrna; two brothers, Calvin Lawless and Joe Lawless both of Smyrna; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. David Post officiating.
