Bill Gray On February 1, 2013, Howard Eugene “Bill” Gray died peacefully surrounded by his entire family. He was born March 15, 1929 in Fyffe, Alabama the son of the late Mr. William Pinkney Gray and the late Mrs. Ellie Adcock Gray. He married Floy Land on May 7, 1949 in Dallas, Georgia. He was the longtime owner and operator of Bill Gray Motors in Douglasville. He was a past member of the Georgia Automobile State Board. Mr. Gray served as a longtime member of the Commercial Bank and Regions Bank Boards. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Molly Roberts Garner and several siblings. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Floy Land Gray of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Jerri and Wayne Garner of Carrollton; son, Rusty Gray of Bremen; five grandchildren, Griffin William and Emily (Wilkes) Garner, Emily Gray Garner, Ella Brooke Gray, James Taylor Hortman and Kaila Ann Hortman; two great-grandchildren, Wilkes Roberts Garner and Gray Nicolson Garner; his special dog, Blackie; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, February 4, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Woodrow Hudson officiating and Mr. Griffin Garner providing the eulogy. Entombment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery in Douglasville. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Gray may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692, American Diabetes Association, P.O.
