Billy Henson

Mr. Billy Henson, 77, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Henson was born July 7, 1930 in Guin, Alabama; son of the late Bill Henson and the late Martha Berryhill Henson. Mr. Henson was a veteran of the United States Army, having retired after twenty years of service and was a member of Utopia Baptist Church in Villa Rica. He was an active member of the Masonic Temple Lodge #322 F&AM, a past Master at the Villa Rica Lodge #72 F&AM, and a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Henson volunteered his time as a Shriner to raise money for the funding of Scotish Rite Children’s Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy Dwayne Henson, Sr. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-one years, Jean Virginia Shepherd Henson; daughter and son in-law, Rena and Bill Van Slyke of Douglasville; son, Billy Clint Henson of Temple; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Marty Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Private Estates of Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica.
